Top 5 Las Vegas Retirement Communities. Las Vegas is one of the top retirement destinations in the country. The National Association of Homebuilders recently predicted that within ten years, Las Vegas could become the number one retirement destination in the country. To keep up with the influx of retirees there are many great 55+ active adult retirement communities here in Las Vegas.

 

Most of the active retirement communities are spread around the outer edge of Las Vegas and its surrounding suburbs such as Henderson, North Las Vegas and even as far as Mesquite.

 

For retirees who want an age-restricted retirement community in Las Vegas, the choices are endless. In fact, there are over 25,000 homes in 55 and over age-restricted communities in Las Vegas.

 

Homebuyers who want a Las Vegas active adult community are not limited to Del Webb. Henderson has 7 retirement communities, Las Vegas has 11 retirement communities and North Las Vegas has 2 retirement communities. A total of 20 retirement communities in the Las Vegas Valley.

 

Sun City Summerlin – West Side of Las Vegas

The first Las Vegas active adult community was Del Webb’s Sun City Summerlin on the west side of Vegas. It is the largest 55+ community in the Las Vegas Valley and was developed between 1989-1999.

Sun City Anthem was developed by Del Webb between 1998 and 2008, it is the second largest 55+ retirement community in the Las Vegas Valley.

Sun City Anthem has 3 Clubhouses, 4 pools (2 of which are indoors), 1 golf course, clubs and much more. HOA is $101 a month and you will have an additional HOA that varies if you own a townhouse.

Home price ranges are in the low $300’s to Low $1m. There are 7,144 homes in Sun City Anthem, all of which are resale only.

Sun City MacDonald Ranch was developed by Del Webb between 1996-2001.
