What is the Weather like in Las Vegas?

What is the weather like in Las Vegas? Las Vegas has a subtropical hot desert type of climate; the summers are sweltering, the winters are mild but with cold nights, and it is dry and mostly clear year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 38°F to 105°F and is rarely below 30°F or above 111°F.

Las Vegas also has ample sunshine throughout the year, with an average of 310 sunny days annually. Snow accumulates in the mountain ranges surrounding Las Vegas during the winter.

Rainfall is scanty to the tune of 4.2″ annually. With an average of 26 rainy days during the entire year, Las Vegas is one of the driest places in North America.

Temperatures range between 90°F to 110°F in the day, while the nights are frequently at 90°F. Summer days are hot and mostly cloudless, but the North American Monsoon brings brief spells of thunderstorms and heavy rains.
